These papers consist of letters written by and to three women missionaries at missions in China in the early 20th century. Letters and sketches by Lucy Mead, Mary H. Porter, and Nellie Russell describe China, their work, and the political upheaval relating to the Qing Dynasty restoration attempt in 1917. A letter from Dr. Marion Yang (Yang Qiong Gui), a former pupil, thanks Mead for her help. A copy of the constitution of the Chinese Christian Church of Peking is included.
